There are always many young, new musicians debuting or on their way to becoming famous and successful. But then there are also those who grew up with, lived through, and supported the foreign rock and pop movement of the 70's, 80's and 90's in Japan. Those who are now in their 40's and 50's, maybe even older, are now beginning to form their own bands and represent to younger generations what they're capable of.
The men and women who grew up listening to American, British, and foreign rock, back in the 70's, 80's and 90's, are now getting back together to perform what they love or used to love.
Groovy Station will help these amateur bands connect with other bands across the country and will allow easier ways for them to perform in live shows and have more fun with live music, which is rare nowadays compared to the old days. Through becoming a member of this website, you will be able to find other people who enjoy the same music as you, you will be able to talk to others online, find places to perform in Japan, and advertise yourself or your band and find new bandmates if necessary.
Our Past Event
BACK IN THE DAY Vol.１"The Beatles"
The first ever event of Groovy Station, "BACK IN THE DAY Vol. 1 THE BEATLES" took place on June 17, 2018 in Roppongi. It was a major success, thanks to everyone who came to watch and everyone who participated in making the event possible. Big thanks to you all.
Four, very wonderful and determined Beatles cover bands performed on this day. The love they all have for the Beatles could be seen and felt through their performances. Special guest performer, Mr. Tsunoda Hiro delivered to the audience a heartfelt, passionate, professional performance of numerous Beatles songs in medley-form. The true beauty of live music was re-revealed through his, and everyone's performances on this spectacular day.
Once again, we would like to thank everyone who performed and took part in making this day a success, and special thanks to the staff of Bauhaus Roppongi for providing us a great environment for our first event as Groovy Station.
